Dear Friends,

As we begin this unprecedented Pride weekend in LA, we wanted to share our new video QUIET NO MORE: A STONEWALL CELEBRATION, commissioned and performed by GMCLA and GALA Choruses from around the country for the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots last year. We have added testimonials from our Music Director, Ernest H. Harrison, and several of the men in the Chorus.

STONEWALL, where gay men, trans folk, lesbians, and drag queens, of all colors, fought back against the NYPD when they would not take anymore, continues to teach us there are times when we must protest.

GMCLA has always raised its voice for social justice in all communities. We believe that Black Lives Matter, and when we can congregate in person again we will sing in support of our Black Community, here in Los Angeles, and throughout the nation.

GMCLA wishes you the health and strength to carry on. We thank you for your support of our work, and your love of the great tapestry that is Los Angeles on this Pride Weekend. Click the audio/speaker icon on the video to unmute.

Sincerely, Lou Spisto Executive Director & Producer

Ernest H. Harrison Music Director & Conductor
