GMCLA IS LOOKING FOR SINGERS!
NEW MEMBER AUDITIONS in EARLY DECEMBER
Apply by NOVEMBER 21, 2022

Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, one of the Country’s leading LGBTQ+ performing arts organizations since 1979, is auditioning new members to begin in JANUARY 2023.
GMCLA has an ongoing commitment to the principles and practices of diversity and inclusiveness throughout the community and strongly encourages submissions from candidates who reflect the diversity of Los Angeles!

Rehearsals are Monday nights at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles (FCCLA). Remaining Season 44 main series concerts are March 25, 26 at Alex Theatre in Glendale and June 24, 25 at Walt Disney Concert Hall. GMCLA members also sing at high schools, parks, community centers, and special events of every kind to support our mission of service, activism, and community engagement.

To apply, please submit a video and state your name, voice part (if known), 30 seconds on your background as a singer, and perform one minute to 90 seconds from one song, a cappella or accompanied, any genre or style. (Don’t stress about production -- we are not reviewing video quality!) Please add a photo of proof of vaccination, including at least one booster, and submit with the video in an email to gmcla.archives@gmail.com by Monday, November 21.

After reviewing submissions, everyone will be contacted by email as to their status by November 27th; no phone calls or emails please. If you are invited to move forward you will attend one of our in-person call back auditions on December 3rd at FCCLA where you will sing and meet the GMCLA team. All information will be provided prior to the audition.
We hope you will consider joining GMCLA and help us make beautiful music and build powerful community!
