Holiday Giving Campaign

Join our Holiday Giving Campaign with your donation today and help us reach our goal of raising $100,000 before December 31st to support GMCLA’s free community outreach and youth education programs.

Over 85,000 Los Angeles students have experienced our life-changing Alive Music Project.

GMCLA IN THE SCHOOLS

GMCLA provides groundbreaking and inspired programs in Los Angeles high schools through our ALIVE MUSIC PROJECT (AMP). Reaching over 85,000 students in Southern California since its inception, AMP includes in-school choral performances, music education, anti-bullying and the sharing of important and impactful stories from our diverse Chorus members. This past spring, Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles brought the magic of Disney PRIDE in Concert  to several schools, including Cleveland High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Larchmont Charter High School, and Compton High School.

GMCLA sings for the students at Cleveland High School.

GMCLA IN THE COMMUNITY

Our Chorus is engaged in every corner of the community in so many ways! Last season GMCLA performed in South Central for an mpox vaccination clinic and Sunday Service at Unity Chuch, in Korea Town for the Asian American Pacific Islander community at a Stop Asian Hate event, and in West Hollywood with our sisters at LA’s Drag March. We gave free, large-scale community concerts at First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, West Hollywood Park, and Plummer Park. We performed with Wynton Marsalis and the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl, and star-studded gala concerts for The Music Center and the Center Theatre Group. From grass roots to fabulous, GMCLA sings for a more harmonious, connected, and inclusive world.

Over 10,000 people enjoyed seeing GMCLA perform at our more than 30 free community events this past season.

GMCLA NEEDS YOU!

Proceeds from our concert ticket sales only cover a third of GMLCA’s annual budget.

All our free community performances and our school programs are made possible by donations from patrons like you. We need to raise $1 million each year to support this work and we are counting on your help to raise $100,000 this season through our Holiday Giving Campaign.
