GMCLA IN THE SCHOOLS
GMCLA provides groundbreaking and inspired programs in Los Angeles high schools through our ALIVE MUSIC PROJECT (AMP). Reaching over 85,000 students in Southern California since its inception, AMP includes in-school choral performances, music education, anti-bullying and the sharing of important and impactful stories from our diverse Chorus members. Last year, GMCLA brought the magic of Disney PRIDE in Concert to several schools, including Cleveland High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Larchmont Charter High School, and Compton High School. This season, GMCLA has brought our AMP performances to Culver City High School and John Burroughs High School with more schools to come.

GMCLA IN THE COMMUNITY
Only halfway into Season 45, GMCLA has already been hard at work in our community, spreading our musical message of love, hope, and acceptance for all people. This season, our volunteer members sang for the City of West Hollywood’s Veterans Day Commemoration, Pride Night for the Los Angeles Lakers, Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Ceremony, and the Hollywood Christmas Parade. On December 1st, GMCLA honored those we have lost and those who live today with HIV/AIDS at two memorable and moving events at USC’s AIDS Quilt display and Minority AIDS Project’s annual remembrance. All this impactful community engagement is only possible because audience members like you support GMCLA with their donations. You can contribute to this important work by making a gift to our Spring Giving Campaign, so we can do even MORE in 2024!
